A Look at Entertainment(from a gamers standpoint)

Fri Jul 17, 2009, 8:56 PM
Pondering upon funner memories of my life, I remember the days of the dreamcast. These were the fun days until the ps2 came out and killed the dreamcast before it could sprout a stable base to balance on. In my opinion, the xbox original reminds me of the dreamcast. In fact, the xbox is a dreamcast from the button layout to the innovations the dreamcast made with online gaming compared xbox live. The reason why I am thinking about this is that I so yearn for a hardcore gaming device. My Nintendo Wii is too bland, don't get me wrong, I love No More Heroes and Resident Evil 4, but the motion controls feel tacked on just to make it seem like "nothing can separate you from the game, playing with power." When really its a PS2 mixed with a casual marketing scheme. As far as PS3, I honestly doubt that SCE is ever going to find itself as the gaming juggernaut as it was back then. And my ps2, died. So I'm left with a wii that doesn't feel like a console but a storm of unnecessary jolts of the arm. The only thing that has kept me sane is the gamecube backwards compatibility. and i dont even that much gamecube games. So is this fun??? Many of my friends are going to call me a hypocrite but I'm getting an Xbox 360. No other system makes me feel like I'm playing a game that's actually a game. As for the reason I hated it before... I just hated the stupid fanbase. There's assholes everywhere I go so I can't really avoid it. One thing that helps though is muting the assholes, heh heh if only real life was easy like that. So an exSega to Nintendo fanboy who moved to Sony then returned to Nintendo just for shits and giggles is buying a 360 to restore whats right, being a gamer.

P.S.; You can take a look at my gallery, but I warn you I don't have anything very recent. Scanner's acting up and my tablet skills went to shit over the summer I wasn't using it.
